The first step for TES to assist in your career search is to submit a resume. This can be done through our website, by fax, or through any of our offices. When we have a position that meets your qualifications, and an initial screening has been done, the next step is for us to set up a personal interview with you. When a personal interview is not feasible due to geographical restraints, we will do an extensive interview over the telephone.
The questions you will be asked will pertain to the position you have either shown interest in or one that we feel you may be qualified for. You can expect to answer questions about:
- Your availability
- Your desired type of employment
- Why you feel you are a good fit for the position
- What compensation you are looking for
- What was your last position and some highlights
Depending on the type of position, you may be required to do written tests, online tests or computer related testing. This is to assist us in evaluating your skills with our client's needs and, in some cases, may be a directive from the client. TES will often be required to perform reference checks of your previous employers. It is a good idea to submit these to your recruiter once you have been qualified. Normally we will not contact your references until it appears that the relationship between you and the client is moving into the final, or hiring, phase. Ideally we like to have 3 work-related references.
Your recruiter will contact you when an interview with the client is requested. You will be informed as to who will be conducting the interview, where and when the interview will take place and any other pertinent details. After the interview, the recruiter and candidate should discuss the interview either over the phone or in person. Our representatives will speak directly to our clients about the interview. When we have discussed the interview with the client we will provide you with their feedback.
